World Raw Cashew Scenario

Brazilian processors are having enough stock of raw cashew nuts for next three to four months. But Indian and Vietnamese manufacturers are cutting their production due to raw material shortage and unworkable prices. The present stock and the imports that would arrive from Tanzania, Mozambique etc would be sufficient for five to six weeks only. By cutting production, these two main cashew processing countries have to drag their work till the beginning of their cashew procuring season. Brazilian production is only 12% to 15% of the world production. So, some experts are opining that the international cashew kernel prices will further move up. But North Indian buyers opine that the Hindu calender prohibits any ceremonies from Dec 20 to Feb 7 and again from Feb 19 to April. This factor may cause price decline. The Indian Climatic conditions are not favorable to early crop, but seems to be favorable to good crop.
