Fish vs Cashew Kernel

Once again there is tremendous demand for lower grades, splits, pieces and middle grades in India; especially from Mumbai, Ahmadabad, Indore and other northern regions. Most probably, cashew consumption is on rise in India due to very high food inflation in other commodities.

Fish contains water percentage and other wastes like heads, tails, bones etc. Even then in big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow Bhopal and other North Indian regions, the retail price of superior quality fish is around Rs800 -1000/kilo and the average quality now costs around Rs600-700/kilo!

When the taste is always most expensive, cashew is not as costly as rumored!
