Consumption Increases in India but No Increase in Prices

North Indians mostly prefer cashews during the winter season. Wedding season is also in full swing throughout India. Other supportive factors may be – 1) Steady export demand 2) Elections in Gujarat 3) Workers’ attendance problem 4) Diminishing inventory 5) Extra exports to neighboring countries from North Indian borders, especially to Pakistan and Nepal.

What ever the situation is, traders as well as industry sources think that the consumption should be promoted or must be maintained if the industry is to survive and grow.
