WHY TANZANIA TOOK THE EXTREME STEP OF BANNING RAW CASHEW AUCTIONS?

Initially, experts from Africa predicted a crop size of 380000 Tons for Tanzania. But later the figure was brought down to around 300000 Tons.

However, the government now says that the harvest size is less than 220000 Tons and the sales figure is 90000 Tons. So the remaining stocks will be around 120000 Tons.

— There is no danger in warehousing this much stock when the international kernel market moving in a strong bullish way.

— (We think that the above figure of 220000 Ton may not be the total crop size, it may be the exportable surplus for the year 2018)
