F.O.B export contracts  for Q4 (2012) may or may not breach $4.00/lb, but something extraordinary is happening in the Indian domestic market. According to market rumors, buyers are now showing buying interest in the premium W320/Goa-Mangalore quality around Rs6000/Tin/11.340kg.

At this stage, global markets can not compete with the Indian festive demand. Current Indian prices are almost equal to $4.25/lb/W320/Premium/Goa-Mangalore, even after considering export related extra official benefits.
