April is the brisk buying period for the Indian cashew industry. In this month, village traders mostly hold the daily arrivals for few days and sell their hoardings with some price increase. Raw cashew market usually remains bullish in the beginning but the bearish phase enters when the industry covers about 50% of the yearly requirements.

However, this year’s situation is quite different. Some global level black marketeers and their agents are said to be the manipulators. Through abnormal increase in the Indian raw cashew market they can easily get exorbitant prices for their built-up stocks.

They even cancel their earlier contracts when they find new buyers.

– Filling yield is falling and the moisture content is on increase in Kerala and Southern region. But the daily price of the Maharashtra origin organic raw cashew nut is the talking point to increase the actual market of all varieties in all regions.
