Strong Demand for Cashew Kernel in Goa

This entry was posted on Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012 and is filed under Cashew.

Cashew kernel is the main food attraction in almost all major tourist centers of Goa but local production has come down on account of the minimum support price announced by the State Government. Retail kernel sellers are looking towards neighboring states for immediate supply of NW (Natural Wholes) and other grades. North India is also facing supply shortage from Goa, Karnataka,Kerala and Tamil Nadu. At present, sellers asking price is much above the market price as their inventory level is much below their annual target.
