New-Crop harvest is in full swing in Kerala. But the moisture percentage is said to be around 9%. So South Indian processors are increasing their purchases from Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa and West Africa.

In the cashew kernel, this summer is only for pieces and the wedding season is mostly for splits.

Over production is responsible for the raw cashew price hike as well as demand slowdown in the wholes category. If the production slowdown continues in the Palasa region, demand may reemerge in the most important W320, W450 and W240 grades.

“Indian Govt has reduced export incentive on cashew kernel.”

“It is now only 2% !”
