Raw Cashew Plunges as Tanzania Offers All the Unsold Stocks

Raw cashew falls below ₹100/kilo in most parts of Karnataka, below ₹105/kilo/7.5% removable moisture/175 counts/Kerala and ₹110/kilo/Single Dry/180 counts/Maharashtra.

Tanzania wasted 8-9 weeks on an uncertain sale which was signed in the last week of January. The contract was made without ascertaining the creditworthiness or capacity of the buyer.

Indian last crop looks bumper but it will arrive from the second half of April. Already buyers are complaining about the quality of this year’s harvest.
