Price Rigging by Bulls and Bears

Nowadays Bulls and Bears are also very active in cashew trade. When the quantity is not huge, they make markets according to their wish and will without losing much money. This is not possible during the main season when almost all traders and manufacturers will be active. Their influence will be narrowed down because of availability of huge quantity. Bear’s influence can be seen in Benin cashew prices. There is no actual stock but very good quality raw cashew is traded at just around $900 to $950 per ton in the forward market. In India, bull factor is responsible for forward trade in new crop, which is around Rs62 to Rs64 for February delivery.
