Pieces Market Towards a New High

This entry was posted on Friday, July 2nd, 2010 and is filed under Cashew.

There is fairly good demand for splits and pieces in India despite heavy rains. Market analysts believe that this trend would continue till November. This is brought about by major festivals. Ramadan fasting begins from 12th August, Onam is on 23rd August, Chauti is on 11th September. During these festival celebrations there is great increase in consumption of cashew in South India. During these periods, North Indian buyers might not get sufficient pieces from Southern states. Hence the splits and pieces market might touch a new high in August-September.
