Kernel Consumption is on Increase but White Raw Cashew Shortage

This entry was posted on Tuesday, April 27th, 2021 and is filed under Cashew.

Supply shortage in cashew kernel is due to shutdowns and lock downs in the production region. Groceries are available in the consumption region but the supply side has to cut production because of Covid related strict restrictions

Mostly rain damaged raw cashew is available in the most important South-west region of India. White raw cashew has buyers around Rs100/kilo but if the removable moisture is above 8% the price is below Rs92/kilo.
