Indian Inflation : Gold Versus W180

In the year 1999-2001, 24carat gold prices were below Rs5000/10gm and cashew kernel W180 was above Rs5000/tin of 11.340kg. Then there was no significant rise in cashew kernel prices and the market did not hold periodic inflationary gains. On the other hand, the gold prices started to move up and then gradually increased as per inflation. Gold now costs above Rs18000/10gm and W180 is available at Rs5900/tin of 11.340kg. So market analysts say that there is ample scope for tremendous rise in higher grades cashew kernel prices.
