Import-Export Crisis

Some small and medium exporters are facing the problem of over selling during mid October. Their calculations went wrong due to severe raw cashew shortage. Some of them are trying to postpone their forward commitments by around 3-6 months. Experts fear that the present raw cashew crisis may result in large scale defaults in cashew kernel forward contracts. Current market rumor is that the Japanese buyers are interested in W320 around $4.00/pound but there are no big offers.
