Impact of Ivorian Crisis

Ivorian cocoa exports may start in next 2-3 weeks as there is nearly 500000 tons of piled up stock in their ports. But their raw cashew nut exports may take several months to get completed. According to latest reports, infighting is still continuing in some parts of Ivory Coast. Cashew grown in southern areas can be transported easily to their ports but most of the Ivorian cashew crop is grown in northern Ivory Coast. Traders are worried about goods robbery during its transport and there is also a long queue for petroleum products.
