Effects of Negativity on Cashew Kernel Market

This entry was posted on Saturday, April 23rd, 2011 and is filed under Cashew.
Both global and Indian cashew kernel markets are sluggish during this week due to some negative factors. Although there is good demand at retail level, retailers and brokers are complaining about their losses during last 10-12 weeks. They worry  that any further price rise will be resisted by the consumer. According to some processors, if they rise kernel prises during this time, raw material cost will increase and they have to bear it for the whole year. They think that the consumer will resist higher prices for now but will not resist during the busy festival period. This year Ramadan month is in August and festival sales are expected to pick by June end.
