Buyers’ offer for W320 is now Rs 9000/11.340 kilo/Premium grading/Inclusive of VAT/Goa-Mangalore. At present, kernel production/supply is not catching up with the market demand. Holidays for the Onam festival and workers attendance problem after the Vinayaka festival are the main reasons behind the shortage.
Consumption is on increase in almost all white grades including wholes, splits and pieces. However, there is no such activity in the domestic raw cashew trade.
