Crop Report (October 2011)

This year, Brazilian local cashew suppliers will have interest in timely raw cashew collection and supply because of economically feasible price factor. But Brazil is not a raw cashew exporter. Indonesian harvesting may drag for next 6-8 weeks, but due to forward commitments they are only offering December shipments. Indian and Vietnamese processors will have to depend on Tanzania and Mozambique for the next six months. But the introduction of mechanized processing in Africa might result in a new era in which the local competition will  become a new force.
