In India, import re-sellers are facing tough times due to quality and price related reasons. But according to some unconfirmed reports, the ‘Kerala origin raw cashew 2011 crop’ (warehouse stock) is now trading around Rs92+Tax/kilo.

Tanzanian recorded crop statistics for the last year shows below 120000 tons but according to press reports, the actual figure might be around 170000 tons.  Mozambique’s recorded crop size shows below 113000 tons but according to some crop analysts, the real production was about 200000 tons. This year, the recorded charts may show a growth due to improved  recording system but the real crop size is said to be smaller by 7% ( including both the recorded and unrecorded).
