Crop Report (April 2012)

Indian and Vietnamese processors are facing severe raw cashew shortage during this peak raw cashew season! Early crop in Asian countries and the Tanzanian export policy are  the main reasons behind this shortage. Nearly 40% harvest is said to be completed in Kerala but all this produce has been utilized by the Indian processors for their daily needs.  So, their warehouses are now empty.

Weather in India is pleasant, forecasts show possibilities of light showers in Vietnam; but sudden changes in the West African weather, especially in Ivory coast is a matter of concern.
