Brazilian cashew season 2010/11 is now in its end stage. According to some earlier predictions crop failure is around 15% to 20%. But due to the prolonged harvesting season, shortage may not be as bad as anticipated. Brazilian farmers are slow in raw cashew procurement even at current high prices. Crop reports from Tanzania is favorable but from Mozambique is normal. At present, nothing can be said about Indian crop which is in its flowering stage.
