Anti Sweets Campaign Boosted Diwali Dry Fruits Sales

One week before the Diwali festivals, some press reports said that the dry fruits festive sales this year  may be dull by 30% compared to last year. But last 3-4 days of the festival week changed almost every opinion and market predictions. According to latest reports, because of the last moment rush there is a huge 20% increase in dry fruits gift pack (Diwali) sales. We think that this huge increase may be in value terms but in volume, it may be a modest increase. Anti sweets campaign in some areas and news channels giving wide publicity to these campaigns seems to be the main reason behind the sudden acceleration in dry fruits festive demand.
